Meeting with economist Javier Díaz-Giménez

On June 20th at 12:00 pm, we are organizing a meeting with Javier Díaz-Giménez as part of the celebration of our board of trustees. During this event, he will review the current economic situation, both nationally and internationally, as well as trends and technological changes in a session dedicated to trends and the role of innovation that will mark the future. The event will take place in the auditorium of our headquarters in Santiago de Compostela, located in Campus Vida.

Díaz-Giménez, an economist known for his different and disruptive discourse, is currently Professor of Economics and holder of the Cobas AM Chair in Savings and Pensions at IESE. With a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, he has spent most of his professional life researching and teaching in the field of macroeconomics. He has published the results of his research in some of the leading professional journals such as the Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Monetary Economics. In addition, he has co-authored with Edward C. Prescott, winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Economics, and is the author of the university textbook “Macroeconomics: First Concepts”.

At the end of this event, which will last approximately one hour, lunch will be served in the main hall of the Foundation. This will provide an opportunity to exchange opinions and continue discussions with the invited expert.
