FEUGA, as coordinator of the VARROAFORM innovation project and responsible of the dissemination activities, has recently published the recording of the final webinar of the project on its YouTube channel.
The webinar, held online last Thursday, 9th September and with more than 160 registered, counted with the participation of all the members of the project: FEUGA, the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the beekeepers Agustín Arias, Benigno Basteiro and Urbano González. Patricia Combarros, beekeeping veterinary and collaborator with VARROAFORM, also took part in the webinar. All of them presented the activities carried on since the approval of the project in 2019, a project which aim is to develop and effective formulation for the control and prevention of varroatosis in domestic bees, one of the most serious problems in beekeeping. Furthermore, the results obtained after these two years were also explained.
With the celebration of this webinar and its uploading, the dissemination activities of the project come to its end, which will finish at mid-September. A project in which entities and professionals of a very different profile have participated, but with the common interest of seeking innovative solutions with which to deal with a disease such as varroosis.
