Boosting knowledge transfer at two of the leading national events in the sector

04/03/2026

In the first part of the year, the iHUB at FEUGA has strengthened its activities in support of knowledge transfer by participating in two of the main national events in the sector: Science for Industry (S4i) and Transfiere. Our role in these events focuses on bringing exploitable R&D project results closer to the business community through outreach materials and matchmaking sessions connecting technological offerings with industrial needs.

At S4i, we placed special emphasis on the European project MAXIMA (Modular AXIal flux Motor for Automotive), an initiative aimed at designing and developing a high efficiency modular axial flux motor for the automotive sector—an innovative solution with strong adoption potential among manufacturers and integrators of electric mobility systems.

During Transfiere, one of Spain’s leading innovation forums, we supported our partners from the European project MAR2PROTECT, which addresses groundwater contamination prevention through a holistic approach to managed aquifer recharge. Among the developments showcased were new technologies for pollutant removal and reduced agricultural leaching, ecotoxicity sensors, modelling tools, and decision support systems. These results represent real opportunities to enhance water resilience in the face of climate change and improve groundwater quality, generating significant interest among water operators, managers, and other key stakeholders.

Through these actions, we continue to build the iHUB as a true meeting point between science and industry. Being present at S4i and Transfiere enables us to highlight cutting edge European project results, bring them closer to potential adopters, and accelerate their pathway to market. Because technology transfer does not happen on its own, it requires guidance, networks, and presence, and that is exactly what we offer from FEUGA’s iHUB.
