AVIENERGY is a supra-autonomous Operational Group that promotes the valorization of poultry manure generated in poultry farms to obtain thermal and electrical energy for the farms themselves and fertilizer materials for the use of nutrients in the soil. This solution is an efficient and environmentally sustainable tool for reducing greenhouse gases and improving the competitiveness of the sector itself.
The objective of this event, which will be held on March 2 in two formats, in person (in Lorca-Murcia) and online (via Zoom), is to present the different activities and experiences that have been carried out to turn one of the main problems of the sector into an opportunity, transforming waste into a new source of energy self-sufficiency.
It will be explained how to treat, in a technically and economically viable way, the waste generated in poultry farming so that it can be used as biomass energy. The boiler designed for this purpose for the combustion of this material will also be shown and the potential of the ashes generated as fertilizer for agricultural use will be tested. In addition, we will also learn about other innovative initiatives to generate energy from livestock waste.
This conference is aimed at farms, cooperatives, poultry and agricultural farms; companies in the energy sector; technology centers, research centers, technology platforms and universities; public administrations related to energy efficiency, agriculture, the environment and/or rural development and end consumers and the general public.
