The Galician Operational Group Millopreciso organizes on Tuesday, October 24, at 10:00h, an online webinar to present the innovation project. During the day, representatives of the entities that make up the project will present the work they are doing to achieve the objectives and expected results of Millopreciso.

The Galician Operational Group Millopreciso is born in 2022 and seeks the development of precision agriculture in Galicia in the cultivation of forage corn. This technique will allow a more efficient management of agricultural resources through the analysis of data collected throughout the production cycle of the crop, which will lead to an increase in the productivity of forage corn.

As part of the dissemination activities of the project, this free online webinar is organized to publicize, among the various actors in the sector and the general public, the objectives, activities under development and progress of the innovation project. In addition, each of the entities participating in the Galician Operational Group Millopreciso, among which is our headquarters, will comment on the role we play in the project, as well as the positive impact it will have on the agricultural and livestock sectors.

The webinar will feature presentations by representatives of the four Galician entities that are part of the project, in which we participate together with Marcos Otero S.L., the Francisco López Pena Livestock and the research group of Modeling, Energy and Mechanization of Biosystems of the University of Santiago de Compostela.

Millopreciso is financed by grants for the implementation of projects of the operational groups of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP), 75% co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) under the Rural Development Program (RDP) of Galicia 2014-2020, with own funds from the Xunta de Galicia at 22.5% and from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food at 2.5%. The Consellería do Medio Rural is the body of the Galician Administration responsible for proposing and executing the general guidelines in the rural area, and is responsible for agriculture, livestock, rural development and regional planning, rural structures, agri-food and forestry industries, forestry, prevention and defense against forest fires.
