FEUGA has strengthened its role as a key actor in the European project SMART CON EUROPE, actively participating as a stakeholder in various activities aimed at fostering interregional collaboration and the exchange of best practices in innovation.
Within the framework of this project, whose objective is to promote SME participation in programmes such as Horizon Europe, FEUGA organized a session at its headquarters in Santiago de Compostela focused on listening to Galician companies, identifying their challenges, and transforming them into European opportunities. The event, organized together with the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), served to present FEUGA’s capabilities as a knowledge transfer agent in European projects, showcase initiatives in which it collaborates with local stakeholders and Galician SMEs—such as DIGI-Rangeland, AF4EU, InnovationGUIDE, TransformAr, DATAlife, and FIREPOCTEP+—and create a space for discussion on business participation in European projects.
Additionally, FEUGA took part in an international meeting held in the Pomorskie region (Gdansk, Poland), a staff exchange focused on improving public innovation policies. This activity provided insights into best practices in institutional cooperation, business development, and regional innovation strategies.
Furthermore, Galicia hosted an institutional visit from a delegation from the Pomorskie region, aimed at sharing experiences and exploring new avenues for collaboration. During this meeting, key topics were addressed, including interregional cooperation projects in strategic sectors such as the biomedical field, public procurement of innovation in the healthcare sector, the promotion of business innovation, environmental protection, and the role of regional and local stakeholders in European projects.
FEUGA’s participation in these initiatives highlights its commitment to internationalization, knowledge transfer, and the strengthening of European networks, contributing to the development of a more competitive and connected innovation ecosystem.
