From June 5th to 8th, once again, FEUGA participated in the Abanca Semana Verde de Galicia National Fair, one of the most prominent multisectoral events in the northeastern Iberian Peninsula, which this year celebrated its 47th edition in Silleda (Pontevedra).
The fair, which has established itself as a benchmark in the agri-food sector, brought together 746 exhibitors from six countries. It featured a wide-ranging program that included professional training and demonstration activities as well as leisure and public-oriented events.
In this context, FEUGA hosted a stand where it showcased 16 innovation projects in the agri-food and forestry sectors, reaffirming its role as a key player in the transfer of knowledge between research and the productive sector.
Throughout the days of the event, the FEUGA team presented a selection of initiatives, both at the national and regional levels, in which it acts as a bridge between science and the field.
In this way, FEUGA contributes to and promotes sustainable development in order to address the challenges facing rural areas, fostering new opportunities for communication and innovation.
Acting as both a collaborating and outreach entity—since its main role is to disseminate the solutions and results proposed by the presented projects—FEUGA not only seeks to increase the visibility of outcomes, reaffirming their scientific and social value, but also actively works to create spaces for the exchange of knowledge, contacts, and ideas.

Likewise, FEUGA also participates in 6 regional operational groups co-financed with 80% EAFRD funds, 14% from the Xunta de Galicia’s own resources, and 6% from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. These projects are:

Estos proyectos están financiados por las ayudas para la ejecución de proyectos innovadores de los grupos operativos de la Asociación Europea de la Innovación (AEI), cofinanciadas en un 80% con el Fondo Europeo Agrícola de Desarrollo Rural (FEADER) en el marco del Plan estratégico de la política agraria común (PEPAC) 2023-2027 con fondos propios de la Xunta de Galicia en un 14% y con fondos del Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación en un 6%. Finally, FEUGA also participates in a regional operational group based in Andalusia, co-financed at 90% by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) under the Andalusian Rural Development Program 2014–2022, and at 10% with own funds from the Regional Government of Andalusia through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development.

PISTACHO 4.0 está financiado por las ayudas dirigidas al funcionamiento de los grupos operativos de la Asociación Europea de Innovación (AEI) en materia de productividad y sostenibilidad agrícolas cofinanciado en un 90% con el Fondo Europeo Agrícola de Desarrollo Rural (FEADER) en el marco del Programa de Desarrollo Rural de Andalucía 2014-2022, y con fondos propios de la Junta de Andalucía en un 10% a través de la Consejería de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural. Presupuesto total del proyecto: 300.000 €. Subvención concedida: 291.508,94 €. Ayuda FEADER: 262.358,04 €.
