FEUGA took part in the 48th edition of the Abanca Semana Verde de Galicia International Fair, held in Silleda from June 4 to 7, where it showcased the 22 innovation projects it is currently developing in collaboration with companies, research centers, universities, and sector organizations. Through these initiatives, FEUGA has strengthened its position as a key player in the sector, channeling more than €10 million in funding to the primary sector.
The foundation’s presence at one of the leading events for the agri-food and rural sectors provided visibility to initiatives addressing some of the most important challenges facing the region’s future, including the sustainability of agri-food production, climate change adaptation, efficient natural resource management, the circular economy, and the digitalization of production processes.
Through its own exhibition space, FEUGA presented the objectives, activities, and progress of its ongoing projects to professionals, companies, researchers, and visitors, highlighting the role of collaborative innovation as a driver of economic and social development.
The variety of initiatives on display reflected the foundation’s multidisciplinary nature and its ability to create synergies among the different stakeholders within the innovation ecosystem.
Participation in Semana Verde also helped promote the dissemination of results achieved through operational groups and collaborative projects, while encouraging the exchange of experiences and the identification of new opportunities for cooperation and future partnerships. The multidisciplinary nature of such events supports effective knowledge transfer and brings innovation closer to productive sectors.
The 22 projects showcased during the fair demonstrated FEUGA’s strong commitment to R&D&I activities and its efforts to develop innovative solutions for the agri-food, forestry, and environmental sectors. Through these initiatives, the foundation continues to enhance business competitiveness, promote sustainability, and strengthen links between research and industry, consolidating its position as a leading organization in knowledge transfer and innovation promotion at the national level, while bringing the achievements and results of its projects closer to society.
