Next Wednesday, December 17, the Cidade das TIC (A Coruña) will host a new edition of “Encounters with…”, organized by FEUGA and conceived as a space for dialogue and reflection on innovation, science, and leadership. On this occasion, we will have the presence of Juan Ignacio Cirac, a Spanish physicist and one of the world’s leading authorities in quantum information theory.

Cirac, Director of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Germany) and an international benchmark in the development of quantum technologies, will deliver the lecture “Quantum Technologies: Are We Ready for Them… or Are They Ready for Us?” During his talk, he will explain in an accessible way how these technologies are opening a new era in the field of information and how they may influence scientific, business, and institutional challenges in the coming years.

In addition, the session will include an open dialogue space with attendees, allowing them to share concerns and ask questions directly to one of the main international references in quantum technologies.
