Last July, FEUGA attended the “Dialogue in the PIDI Network” event in Madrid, organized by CDTI Innovación. The meeting brought together representatives from university foundations, technology centers, clusters, and regional development agencies, all members of the PIDI Network. This high-level forum marked the beginning of a new strategic stage for the PIDI Network, focused on reinforcing its role as a key instrument supporting territorial R&D&I in Spain.
Since its creation in 2006, the PIDI Network has provided thousands of companies and entrepreneurs with free access to information on local, national, and European public funding for innovation projects. Between 2019 and 2024 alone, it handled over 14,000 inquiries and promoted more than 200 informative and training events.
As an active PIDI node, FEUGA offers companies, startups, and innovative organizations a free information service, along with professional advice specialized in R&D&I funding.
Thus, our technical team supports organizations in:
- Identifying funding opportunities
- Preparing competitive proposals
- Managing and monitoring applications
At the forum, FEUGA participated in defining the new 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, which places the PIDI Network at the center of CDTI’s territorial strategy, with key objectives such as:
- Expanding the network of participating entities to improve territorial and sectoral coverage
- Incorporating artificial intelligence into the information management system
- Promoting training in European instruments such as Horizon Europe and EIC Accelerator
- Measuring the economic and social impact of supported projects
As part of this new plan, one of the most powerful tools available to companies will continue to be the CDTI R&D project funding line. This program consists of a partially repayable loan for R&D projects developed by companies, aimed at the creation and significant improvement of production processes, products, or services. Specifically, it offers:
- Funding up to 85% of the project budget, with a non-repayable portion of 10% to 33%
- Fixed interest rate: 1-year Euribor
- Repayment over 10 to 15 years, with a grace period of 2 to 3 years
- Open call throughout the year
