This event is part of the EU project <a href=\"https:\/\/innoguide.eu\/\"><strong>InnovationGuide<\/strong><\/a> (funded by HE-European Innovation Ecosystems), involving four countries: Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Malta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The global objective: to <strong>foster innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas, with a special focus on young talent and the role of women in the sectors of agriculture, bioeconomy, fisheries, and sustainable tourism<\/strong>. This will enable entrepreneurs, startups, and the entire Q-helix to share their experiences within the studied ecosystem in attracting funding, market positioning, existing barriers, and new opportunities to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be one of four proposed events (one for each participating country) within this European project to advance in <strong>identifying barriers and opportunities for fostering entrepreneurship in rural ecosystems<\/strong>. The aim is to develop a homogeneous common framework to be conveyed as policies and transferability guides to other ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program of the event, which will be moderated from the perspective of analyzing the responses obtained from the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eusurvey\/runner\/InnovationGUIDE\"><strong>previously launched questionnaire<\/strong><\/a>, aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities from the point of view of entrepreneurs, leading companies in the sector, researchers, and public institutions. It is divided into two parts. The first part, dedicated to analyzing barriers and identifying opportunities for promoting rural entrepreneurship in the four sectors analyzed, will feature speakers such as <strong>Tania Blanco<\/strong>, COO of <a href=\"https:\/\/salmoira.es\/\">Salmoira<\/a>; <strong>Jos\u00e9 Cuadrado Oural<\/strong>, promoter of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terrasdamarina.com\/\">Terras da Mari\u00f1a<\/a>; <strong>Oscar Rodil Marzabal<\/strong>, professor and researcher of Economic Development and Innovation at the University of Santiago de Compostela; <strong>Luc\u00eda Afonso<\/strong>, beekeeper at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sovoral.com\/\">Sovoral<\/a>; <strong>Juan Carlos P\u00e9rez Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/aldealista.com\/\">Aldealista<\/a>; <strong>Juan Picos<\/strong>, professor and researcher of Agroforestry Engineering at the University of Vigo; and <strong>Jacobo Garcia Dur\u00e1n<\/strong>, director of <a href=\"https:\/\/turislab.gal\/es\/inicio\/\">Turislab<\/a>. In the second part of the event, invited experts will discuss the process of bringing an idea to market in rural areas. <strong>Higinio Moug\u00e1n Bouzon<\/strong>, director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/agaca.coop\/\">Galician Association of Agro-Food Cooperatives<\/a>; <strong>Beatriz Su\u00e1rez S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>, director of rural development at <a href=\"https:\/\/juanadevega.org\/es\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Juana de Vega<\/a>; <strong>Carmen Pumari\u00f1o \u00c1lvarez<\/strong> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startup.gal\/\">Startup Galicia<\/a> association, and <strong>Manuel Soli\u00f1o<\/strong>, president of the <a href=\"https:\/\/aganplus.org\/\">Galician Association of Nautical Activities (AGAN+)<\/a>, will be some of the participants in the panel discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the event will feature an <strong>exhibition space with stands from rural companies and entrepreneurs<\/strong>, allowing them to showcase their work to the public during the coffee break, which will also serve as a networking opportunity for all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration is free until capacity is reached and is available at the <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/864b7616b5e9\/stakeholder-registration\">following link<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On June 20th, our headquarters in Santiago de Compostela, at the heart of Campus Vida, will host the event &#8220;From Idea to Market: Boosting Rural Entrepreneurship through Innovation&#8221;.
