{"id":37285,"date":"2023-06-06T12:29:29","date_gmt":"2023-06-06T12:29:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.feuga.es\/?p=37285"},"modified":"2023-06-30T10:55:22","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T10:55:22","slug":"final-event-of-the-algaterra-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.feuga.es\/en\/final-event-of-the-algaterra-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Final event of the ALGATERRA project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Next <strong>Tuesday, July 4th<\/strong>, the <strong>final event of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.feuga.es\/casosexitonac\/algaterra\/\">ALGATERRA<\/a> project<\/strong>, in which we participate, will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/mbg.csic.es\/es\/la-mision-biologica-de-galicia\/\">CSIC-Misi\u00f3n Biol\u00f3xica de Galicia<\/a> facilities in Salcedo, Pontevedra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.feuga.es\/casosexitonac\/algaterra\/\">ALGATERRA<\/a> is a pilot project whose main objective is to develop new agricultural inputs with seaweed discards produced in the food industry, and to test their effectiveness for use in organic agriculture, as well as in conversion and sustainable conventional agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this conference, our headquarters and other representatives of the participating entities (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portomuinos.com\/\">Porto Mui\u00f1os<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mbg.csic.es\/es\/la-mision-biologica-de-galicia\/\">CSIC-Misi\u00f3n Biol\u00f3xica de Galicia<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usc.gal\/es\">Universidade de Santiago de Compostela<\/a>), will explain in detail the activities carried out and the main results and conclusions of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.feuga.es\/casosexitonac\/algaterra\/\"> ALGATERRA <\/a>project. This session will show the preparation process of the formulations developed and their formats (extracts, biostimulants) and the tests carried out in the field, which have served to prove their effectiveness in the cultivation of horticultural products such as lettuce, tomato and potato, as well as their effect in increasing resistance to certain fungal diseases in grapevines. Also, the companies <a href=\"https:\/\/hortadalousa.com\/#inicio\/\">Horta da Lousa<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riveiroecologicos.com\/\">Riveiro Ecol\u00f3gicos<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terradeasorei.com\/es\">Terras de Asorei<\/a> will show their point of view, experience and interest in the participation in this type of initiatives by the farmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session will end with a guided tour of the facilities of the Misi\u00f3n Biol\u00f3xica, where the attendees will be shown the different works and tests carried out by the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This conference is part of the dissemination activities of the project, funded by the call for grants to support pilot projects, development of new products, practices, processes and technologies in the agroforestry field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Date<\/strong>: 04.07.2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule<\/strong>: From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Where<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/mbg.csic.es\/es\/la-mision-biologica-de-galicia\/\">Misi\u00f3n Biol\u00f3xica de Galicia<\/a>, A Carballeira, 8. The Conseller\u00eda do Medio Rural is the body of the Galician Administration responsible for proposing and executing the general guidelines in the rural area and is responsible for agriculture, livestock, rural development and regional planning, rural structures, agri-food and forestry industries, forestry and forest fire prevention and defense.
