In this talk, aligned, as MICOALGA-FEED, around &#8220;One Health&#8221;, it is focused on how to achieve, through mushrooms, the achievement of the objectives framed in this strategy.<br><br>The &#8220;One Health&#8221; initiative, promoted by the World Health Organization, seeks to develop strategies to achieve optimal health for people, animals and the environment. In this context, mushrooms play a prominent role thanks to their numerous beneficial properties in each of these three elements.<br><br>The Hifas Group (Hifas da Terra, Hifas Veterinary and Hifas Foresta), has spent years exploring these beneficial properties of fungi and, through innovative biotechnological techniques, extracting their full potential. Led by Esteban Sinde, CEO of the company, we will delve into the uses and benefits of mushrooms in a wide range of fields, as well as the biotechnological techniques used.<br><br>Within the framework of the MICOALGA-FEED project, Hifas Veterinary is the entity in charge of the selection and production of fungi that, thanks to their immunomodulatory, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory potential, allow, through their addition to poultry feed, to reduce the use of antibiotics in livestock. The General Directorate of Rural Development, Innovation and Agrifood Training (GDRDIAT) is the authority in charge of the application of these aids.
